These Terms govern access to ShootGuide, including profiles, photographs, critiques, rankings, courses, manufacturer listings and community services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and all policies incorporated by reference.
Production legal review required: this operational policy must be reviewed for the operator’s legal entity, address, governing law, consumer obligations and launch jurisdictions before commercial release.
Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials and promptly report unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Accounts may not impersonate another person, misrepresent professional status, evade enforcement or be sold without written authorization.
User content and ownership
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant ShootGuide a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, resize, display, index, cache and promote that content solely to operate and market the service according to your visibility and rights settings. This platform license ends within a commercially reasonable period after deletion, except for backups, legal retention and permissions already granted.
Your warranties
You warrant that you have all rights, releases and permissions needed for uploaded images, video links, logos, client names, testimonials, product data and other material; that your content is accurate and lawful; and that it does not violate copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark, contract or other rights.
Prohibited conduct
You may not upload unlawful or harmful content; scrape or bulk-download media; bypass access controls; manipulate ratings or rankings; submit fraudulent reviews; harass users; publish sensitive location data irresponsibly; introduce malware; misuse personal data; or use the service to train AI systems unless the displayed rights expressly permit it.
Professional, ranking and verification features
Verification confirms only the checks described in the applicable policy. Rankings and scores are formula-based platform opinions using available data and are not guarantees of quality, employment, safety, identity, availability or future performance. Payments, advertising and course purchases do not improve rank.
Courses and payments
Course enrollment is confirmed only after verified payment and administrative acceptance. Schedules, attendance, rescheduling, refund eligibility and completion requirements follow the displayed course terms. Payment credentials are processed by the payment provider, not stored by ShootGuide.
Manufacturer and external transactions
Equipment purchases occur on verified manufacturer websites. ShootGuide is not the seller, merchant of record, shipper, warrantor or returns processor for those transactions. Verify regional compatibility, taxes, shipping, warranty and final price on the manufacturer site before purchasing.
Moderation and enforcement
We may investigate, restrict visibility, remove content, invalidate fraudulent activity, suspend accounts or preserve evidence when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce policies, comply with law or maintain service integrity. Material actions may be appealed where an appeal process is offered.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Photography, location, weather, solar, equipment, critique, ranking, legal and business information may be incomplete or change. You remain responsible for safety, permissions, contracts, purchases, backups and professional decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShootGuide and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or lost-profit damages, loss of content, third-party conduct, off-platform transactions or reliance on rankings, conditions or advice. Any non-excludable liability is limited as permitted by law; consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify the operator against third-party claims arising from your content, rights violations, misuse of the service, business claims, products, services or breach of these Terms.
Changes, termination and disputes
We may update these Terms prospectively with notice for material changes. You may stop using the service and request deletion subject to retention duties. Governing law, operator identity, service address and dispute forum must be completed in the production operator notice before commercial launch.
Questions or notices
Use the platform’s report, permission-request or contact channel appropriate to your issue. Formal operator identity, postal address, privacy contact, copyright contact and dispute details must be added before production launch.
